Provide chiropractic care for patients that are in need due to pain and discomfort. Dr. Banwait has over 20 years experience working with patients in the Surrey and Delta community. Dr. Banwait works with ICBC patients and does direct billing through ICBC. She also works with students, athletes and a variety of other injuries.

Arminder has been serving the Surrey and Delta community for over 20 years as a registered massage therapist. Arminder has worked with ICBC patients, athletes, seniors and patients with varying conditions. His primary goal as a practitioner is to provide patients with relief in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle.


Active Rehabilitation

A therapeutic based exercise program specifically designed and supervised by our team of practitioners. Treatment and movement therapy compliment the healing process and promote wellness for the body and the mind.

Welcome to Primary Rehab Clinic. My name is Dr. Datinder Banwait. I am a female, Punjabi speaking chiropractor who has been practising in the Surrey and Delta area since 2001. I completed a doctorate in chiropractic from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon graduating with honours. Prior to completing my chiropractic studies, I received my Bachelors of Science in Biology from Simon Fraser University. My philosophy is to help patients achieve their optimal health goals. This is done by providing each patient with a comprehensive treatment plan. I use a variety of treatments including physical therapy modalities, rehabilitative exercises, soft tissue treatment and chiropractic adjustments to help achieve my patient’s goals. Salma Furniturewala has a Master of Counseling Psychology- Art Therapy from Adler University. She currently works as a Family Counsellor in the Greater Vancouver area, where she is providing Individual Counseling and support to parents in order to help them find ways to meet the needs of their children.

Salma graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Mumbai University and later obtained a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. Many elements of her schooling relating to child development and psychology laid the foundation for her therapeutic work through art and play therapy. Salma’s approach to working with the Arts reflects her understanding that every person is unique and that expressive art therapy offers options for all.

Previously, Salma established and led a Nursery school, bringing together her expertise in the field of Early Childhood Education, as well as demonstrating the ability to build teams and foster collaborative relationships.

Outside of work, Salma enjoys volunteering at The Gathering Place, a community centre that provides necessary services to the less fortunate. Salma takes delight in cooking and has led culinary classes for the youth to engage in healthy food and eating habits, under the banner of ‘YOUNG CHEFS’. Janson Lai grew up in Taiwan. He is a second-generation traditional Chinese medical practitioner. He started out watching his father treating people when he was twelve years of age and has carried the values of those ancient healing practices with him today.

Janson obtained his diploma of Practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2003 and has been a licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist since 2005. While predominantly practicing here in Canada, Janson has continued his education in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the United States. His treatments have been extremely successful in treating sports injuries, musculo-skeletal and neurological disorders, mental-emotional issues, internal disease, and reproductive issues.

Janson firmly believes that optimum health is about balance: balancing one’s life and balancing one’s body. He also believes in the importance of collaboration to achieve optimal health and wellness, including working with other practitioners to develop custom treatment plans. Devon San, a Registered Massage Therapist graduated from the Langara RMT program in 2021. He is a member of the Registered Massage Therapists Association of British Columbia (RMTBC) and is registered and in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia (CMTBC.) He also holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of the Fraser Valley. After practicing as a Registered Kinesiologist for a few years he decided to go back to school and become an RMT.

Growing up in Surrey, Devon played a variety of sports during his childhood and younger adult years including soccer, hockey, football, golf, and numerous others. It was the love of sport that got Devon interested in the field of kinesiology initially.

Parveen is a recent graduate from Simon Fraser University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science with a Major in Kinesiology. Most notably, she is a certified member of the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK). Some of her skills include kinanthropometry, functional anatomy, exercise physiology, biomechanics, injury prevention, and nutrition. In addition, Parveen is certified in BC Sports Aid, Canadian Fitness Education Services, and RAD Mobility Level 1: Self-Myofascial Release. At Simon Fraser University, Parveen successfully completed an Active Health and Rehabilitation concentration which focused on fitness appraisal, clinical kinesiology, and exercise rehabilitation. She has special interests in musculoskeletal disorders and chronic pain management.

As a certified Kinesiologist, Parveen utilizes an evidence-based approach to help her clients. She applies the study of exercise science to optimize client health and performance. Her clients can expect in-depth functional assessments and individualized treatment plans that aim to improve flexibility, mobility, and strength. She is motivated to help clients recover from injury and reach their wellness goals.
